It’s time to dump all your years of wisdom into your LinkedIn feed.

Not your experience. Not your accomplishments. Not your career milestones. Those should already be there. I’m talking about your wisdom.

The LinkedIn Thought Leaders are already here. They’re everywhere. You yourself might already be doing this. And it’s cool, I’m not against it, I’m actually all for it, even though in this post I’m going to rage against the lazy practitioners. So don’t be one of those. If you do it, do it hard. And honestly.

Anyway, LinkedIn Thought Leadership is a trend that I’ve seen grow slowly over the last two years, and it has exploded over the last few months.

Let’s talk about why it’s happening, why everyone is trying to become an identified expert across LinkedIn posts and articles, whether you should be doing this, and how to do it right – but really let’s talk about how to get attention for your business in a sea of customers who are constantly having their heads turned by AI and its ever sillier and loftier promises.

And let’s find ways to get attention without having to jump up and down on TikTok.

I mean, unless that’s your thing. There are all kinds of people in this audience and my motto is you do you.

But yeah, let’s hit all of that. In this first of two parts on the subject of getting attention for your business in the AI age, I’m going to talk about why LinkedIn Thought Leadership is happening and why you might eventually get dragged into it if you haven’t already been dragged into it.
